Charlotte Church is to release her first album for four years, and she is sure that this time round, the music is a helluva lot better.
The classically-trained singer dabbled in pop on Tissues and Issues, but the album was met with limited success.
She told the Guardian: "I've been songwriting a lot recently, because I had stuff to say and because there's a little part of me that wants to be a poet, but also because nobody really writes songs for my range."
She was asked if fans, if there are many, will notice the change in her material: "Oh completely. When I listen back to… er my… well, Tissues and Issues, that was kind of my first try at writing, and I think ahhh! So little!
"And I might think that of this album in 10 years' time. But I don't think so. I think it's a hell of a lot better."
For those of you on tenterhooks, hold on for a while. The Welsh singer's album won't be releaseduntil later this year, after she is through with commitments to BBC show Over The Rainbow.
Promotion for the talent programme is going great guns, especially after Charlotte rekindled her long-running feud with Cheryl Cole.
According to the Metro, when asked if she felt sorry for the Parachutes singer: "We all remember her past, don't we. She is not a walkover, let's not forget that."
