Eastenders bosses have spoken out after tabloid reports claimed that 50 Cent was set for a cameo appearance in British soap opera Eastenders.
Fifty claimed that he was a huge fan of the show and had an appearance lined up. He added that he was upset to miss the character of Peggy Mitchell, who recently left the hit BBC1 show.
He claims that Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand introduced him to the show and is quoted as saying:
"I really wanted Peggy to throw me out of her pub, but I didn't get it organised quick enough and it's too late now.
"I've performed with Eminem and Justin Timberlake, acted with De Niro and Pacino, had a guest spot on The Simpsons - in the US a sign you've made it to the very top - but I can't fulfil my biggest showbiz dream."
However any rumours of a cameo appearance have been dismissed by Eastenders bosses who said: "We're flattered he's a fan, but there have been no talks about him appearing in the show."
