Ahead of the launch of this years X Factor Jedward, one of the breakout successes of last year have disclosed their top tips for getting ahead in the game.

Jedward, or John and Edward to their Mother, tips include not being a suck up to the judges and being aware of your trousers splitting on stage.

Speaking to The Sun Jedward gave the following tips.

1) Don't say: "This is going to change my life." You will regret it if you are still working in your shop job in a year.

2) Don't beg people to vote while making a phone gesture with your hand. It will make them put the phone back down.

3) Under no circumstance tell Cheryl you love her. It's like being teacher's pet.

4) Drop the "I" factor. You say: "It was such a big deal for me when Simon said yes". People hear: "Me, me, me, me."

5) Watch out for wardrobe malfunctions - we split our trousers during one performance last year.

6) Know that if you do something stupid it will end up on YouTube (see above).

7) Be yourself. People said we were like Marmite or that we were annoying but we never changed who we are.

8) Work hard - we worked the hardest out of everyone on our performances and people loved what they saw.

9) Try not to take yourself too seriously.

10) Never give up.

Something gives us the feeling neither John nor Edward wrote thi, these tips all make far too much sense. Especially #2 which is without doubt the biggest Reality TV crime of them all.
